About

Raj Prasanna

To be appointed a Notary Public in Singapore, you need at least 15 years of legal practice behind you — it isn’t a title you can get straight out of law school. I’ve spent that time practising law before taking on this role, and I still handle every notarization personally.

I’m appointed by the Board of Commissioners for Oaths and Notaries Public, and I’m also a Commissioner for Oaths — which covers most of what people actually need day to day, from statutory declarations to certified copies to documents headed overseas.

If your document needs an Apostille afterward for use in another country, I’ll tell you that upfront and point you to the Singapore Academy of Law step — I’d rather you know the whole process before you pay for the first part of it.
